When you log in to Pulse, the first thing you see is your store dashboard. This gives you an overview of your store's performance, as well as highlighting key insights you can use to increase your profitability.

This guide walks you through overview pages of Pulse and shows you how to use insights and alerts. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch by emailing support@markethub.ie, and we would be happy to help you.

Here is an example of what the store dashboard looks like:

Note: If you want to view any image in this article in more detail, you can right click the image and click 'View in new tab'.

As you can see, the overview is made up of two main sections:

  1. Store Performance Overview
This is where you can see the graphs and stat boxes showing information about your store's performance

  2. Store Insights
Store insights are presented in the list of icons on the right of the screen. These clickable insights and actions contain key information Pulse thinks you would like to know about, for example price suggestions.

  3. Stat boxes
Key performance indicators appear at the bottom of the screen. These boxes summarise your store's performance in different areas compared to the same period last year.

Store Performance Overview

The Store Performance Overview gives you a quick summary of your store's performance, updated daily. The main charts on this page (Baskets and Sales), provide a snapshot of how your store has performed year-to-date, and lets you quickly see trends in comparison with the same time last year.

The graph highlighted below shows the number of baskets per day (navy blocks) versus the number of baskets per day last year (grey shaded area).

The second graph shows the total sales value per day (blue blocks) compared with the same period last year (pink shaded area).

Note that the comparison is to the same day of week in the same week last year, although the date presented is this year’s date. For example, you will see the first Monday in May this year compared with the first Monday in May last year, even though they fall on different dates.

You can move backwards and forwards in time on this chart by sliding the green bar at the top right of the graph left and right (seen below). You can also zoom in or out of the period shown by hovering your mouse over the graph and spinning the scroll wheel on your mouse.

Downloading the graph as an image file

To download the graph as an image file, simply click on the box with 3 lines at the top right of the graph, and it will allow you to select the file type you wish to download.

If you click on the graph, it will bring you to a grid containing all of the sales and basket data represented by the graph.

All the grids in Pulse are dynamic and customisable, allowing you to view your data however you like. You can learn more about grids and how to sort, filter and rearrange them in our How to Use Grids guide.

Stat boxes

The overview page also contains numerous stat boxes at the bottom half of the page. These call out some key performance indicators (KPIs) about your store. Where a stat box has the 'more' option, you can click this and it will bring you to grid of data. See below:

Change store view

If you have more than one store set up on Pulse, you can jump in and out of each of these stores by selecting them in the store view drop down. See below:
