The labels tab in Pulse provides you with information on how your digital labels (ESLs) are being utilised in store. This information is represented through both pie charts and stat boxes, all of which are clickable and bring you to a grid which contains more information. To get to know how to use grids, check out our help doc How to Use Grids on Pulse.
The following article explains what is available in the labels section, and how it can be used. To access this section of Pulse, select 'Labels' from the menu (shown below).
When you land on the Labels page, you will be presented with key information about your digital labels, including what is being displayed on every label, what Spotlights are active, and which products they are linked to.
Note: All label information in Pulse is taken first thing in the morning - so if labels are updated throughout today you won't see those change in Pulse until tomorrow morning.
Pie Charts
Below we'll explain a little more about what the two pie charts tell you and how to interact with them. Overall, they are a useful tool to give you an overview of how you are using your labels in-store.
Active Spotlights Pie Chart
Spotlight is a feature of Pulse which lets you put a message of your choice on your ESLs. Learn more about Spotlight here.
The Active Spotlights pie chart on the left tells you how many labels in your store are displaying Spotlight messaging and also provided details on what messaging is being displayed.
Clicking the pie chart will bring you to a grid of the products which are displaying Spotlight messaging along with additional information on how long the messaging has been active, what the messaging is and also some extra product details such as barcode and label ID.
Active Deals
The Active Deals pie chart on the right breaks down how many labels in store are displaying active deals (e.g. 2 for €1).
Clicking the pie chart will bring you to a grid of the products which are displaying active deals along with additional information about the products the deals are displaying on as well as barcode and label ID.
Stat Boxes
Stat boxes are the boxes which show Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the labels. Each of these stat boxes has a more... button which brings you to a grid which contains further information. Below we'll go through each stat box in more detail.
Labels
The 'Labels' stat box tells you how many ESLs are being used in your store. An active label essentially represents a product on your shelf and so this stat box gives you a key insight into how many products are out on your shelves (and which are not displaying an 'Out of Stock' message).
Clicking more... on this stat box brings you to a grid which lists each of these products and provides additional details such as product department, category, label ID, barcode and Spotlight message (if the label is displaying one).
Split labels
The 'Split labels' stat box tells you how many individual digital labels in your store are presenting pricing information for two products. Split labels are often used for small or narrow products where two of the products would take up the space of one typically sized product. This means you can make better use of your shelf space and still correctly communicate your pricing. See below for an example of how this looks:
Clicking more... on this stat box brings you to a grid which lists each product that is on a split label as well as some additional information such as label ID, Category and the product barcode.
Labels with deals
The 'Deals Labeled' stat box tells you how many ESLs in your store are currently displaying deals, e.g. "2 for €1".
Clicking more... on this stat box brings you to a grid which lists each product that is displaying a deal as well as some additional info such as Deal ID, Category, barcode, whether the product has 'Out of Stock' messaging and Label ID.
Labels with Spotlight messaging
The 'Spotlights' stat box tells you how many digital labels in your store are displaying a Spotlight message, e.g. 'Great Value' or Manager's Special'.
You can learn more about setting up Spotlight messaging on your digital labels through our handy help guide How to create a Spotlight Campaign.
Clicking more... on this stat box brings you to a grid of all the products in your store which are displaying Spotlight messaging along with some additional information such as the message being displayed, the timeframe the message is active for, whether the product is also displaying 'out of stock' messaging, the product's category, barcode and the label ID.
Spotlights blocked
Spotlight messaging can be blocked due to a more prioritised Spotlight type or a deal.
For example, if a label which was originally set to display competitor pricing (e.g. 'Cheaper than Tesco'), when you then set up this label with a Spotlight (e.g. 'Great Value') the Spotlight message replaces the competitor pricing.
The 'Spotlights Blocked' stat box tells you how many digital labels in store have had one message replaced with another message of higher priority.
Clicking more... on this stat box brings you to a grid of all the products which have had Spotlight messaging blocked by another message along with more information on each product such as Spotlight Campaigns title, Spotlight message, campaign time-frame, product category, barcode, label ID and more.
