When we designed Pulse, at the forefront of our mind we wanted to assist retailers to reduce waste and maximise results.
The feedback we got consistently from retailers is that bakeries and in-store delis were areas that needed a lot of managing and produced excessive waste.
We knew Pulse could assist in production planning, so we created the Replenishment Plan feature.
Use a replenishment campaign to discover how much of any particular item you need on a daily basis. It could be freshly baked goods like croissants or pre-prepared items like sandwiches or salads, or even chill replenishment.
You'll be able to plan for the week ahead and keep on top of short shelf life fresh products.
You can create a replenishment plan in 4 easy steps.
Create a Campaign
Navigate to our campaigns functionality and select to create a new campaign. Make sure that you select Replenishment plan as the type from the dropdown.
Add products
Choose the products you would like to see recommended bake quantities from. Don’t worry, you can edit these later if you need to.
Enter order cycles
You need to tell Pulse what day you order or bake the goods, and for how many days you need the order to cover
For eg, on Monday you might bake to cover Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday you bake to cover Wednesday and Thursday
Check recommended order/bake quantities
Once all of this is complete, Pulse will analyse the waste and sales history of the products selected and then recommend quantities. This is calculated overnight, so all you need to do the next is go to the campaign you just created, and select the Product tab. (If you don't want to wait overnight, you can press the 'Update Results' button in the campaign overview and the calculations will happen right away.)
In the Product tab, You will see a conservative, balanced or aggressive recommended bake quantity for each product.
You can export the plan to be printed off using the button below.
You can check the analysis section anytime to see how waste and sales are trending.
